Weird Traits Guys Like

Researches have pinpointed the number one quality guys seek in a new girlfriend; they weren't expecting it and well, it's really weird. A recent Pew Research Center survey asked what qualities make someone a desirable partner and 90% of men responded "being a good mother". Researches deduced that instinctively males are driven to be with someone with whom they can eventually see themselves having kids with - in fact, this is even true for guys who aren't even wishing to settle down yet.

It's all pretty primal, it's built into the DNA - its a human impulse. Meredith Small, PhD, professor of anthropology at Cornell University states, "A man naturally responds to those biological urges by moving forward with a woman who will potentially be able to raise his children, even if he doesn't want kids soon - or ever." Weird, right? So then, it's surprising to see which traits and behaviors really attract a man.

Trait 1 : Don't Freak Out When You Loose Something!
Most people generally tend to freak out and have melt downs when they loose something like their phones. But, keeping your cool is an indicator that you can handle more trying things - think along the lines of children! Showing that you can stay calm and confident during trouble proves to him that you're strong and capable - he could totally see you and trust you with his kids!

Trait 2: Sensing Something's Wrong With Your Guy
One thing you might have noticed with your guy, he's not really open to share how he's feeling. You know who has that in common? Children. To become a master at decoding their emotions you have to become pro at interpreting subtle changes in their facial expressions, body language and tone of voice. Men like perceptive women, if you can pick up on how a guy is feeling without them telling you then its a sign that you'll be able to recognize a baby's needs. Interesting, right?

Trait 3: Telling Him Interesting, Funny Stories About Your Day
Storytelling has been a trait that women have had throughout the ages. Women are the ones who tell the children the rules and customs of their culture. A woman who has good speaking skill are therefore going to pass on that trait to the youngsters helping their social skills. So basically, don't be boring.

The Don'ts - Things That He Doesn't Really Care About

• Dropping the words like baby, future, kids, etc. = very freaky to a guy. 
• If you adore your pet. Let's face it, a pet and a baby are different things to him, and he doesn't see the connection
• Fawning over children = doesn't really show off your mommy skills now does it?
• Pictures of your niece/nephew or other little children you know = unless he knows them, it won't register with him
• Loving to babysit when you were young = well he's changed too, probably not going to have the same pastimes now either.
• Nesting (decorating, cooking) = it's important to do those things, but it doesn't mean you have to care about every single thing. He just needs to know if you can take responsibility - ya know? (But I'm sure being a good cook will totally help you!)
