HBO's hit television show True Blood released in the Fall of 2008. The series is loosely based on the book Dead Until Dark in the series The Southern Vampire Mysteries by Charlaine Harris. In the first season we're introduced to the town of Bon Temps in Louisiana after vampires have revealed their presence among humans. Sookie Stackhouse (Left)  is a waitress at the local Bar and Restaurant, but what makes her special is that she has telepathic powers. She then meets Bill Compton (right), a vampire who returns home to his house in Bon Temps after leaving it behind during the Civil War. Feelings for Bill begin to bloom for Sookie, but what will this mean for others who aren't sure what to feel for vampires? Suddenly, murders begin to happen around motivated by a hatred of vampires. But who's the killer?

In Season two, taking the roots in the novel Living Dead in Dallas the second novel in Harris' series, the relationship between Sookie and Bill continues. It also explores other problems like the Anti-Vampire Fellowship of the Sun which drags in Sookie's own brother, Jason Stackhouse (Right). The season also faces the horrors of a mythical creature that transforms Bon Temps to a land close to hell consuming human lives to loose control and seek life full of pleasure and mischief. This is Sookie's best friend's, Tara Thornton (Left), major problem. While all this is happening at home, Sookie and Bill are sent to deal with a problem in Dallas which involves Eric Northman and Pam De Beaufort; owners of the vampire bar Fangtasia.

The Third Season (Club Dead) is probably the most messed up season - so obviously its so far the most interesting. Bill is kidnapped by werewolves to help the Mississippi Vampire King - yes, that's a thing. So while Bill, Sookie, Eric and well most of the vampires are dealing with this situation, back in Bon Temps things just keep getting more and more complicated. Sam Merlotte tries to discover who he is as a shape-shifter and therefore tries to find his real family. After experiencing quite some trauma, Lafayette begins a new love in his life but wait...he's a witch. And if things couldn't get any weirder? After vampires, witches, werewolves and shape-shifters (and don't forget weird mythical creatures from last season!) - look out here comes the fairies.

Now in the latest season of True Blood (Season 4 which began earlier this summer), we left off with some new information and things definitely left on a hook! So far we've seen the fairies and now a complete focus on witches and spirits. The result? Eric Northman the vampire loosing his memory - being the hottest and cutest thing I have ever seen (such a turn on). We also see what has happened to Bill since his incident in Mississippi and how the lives of Bon Temps has changed.
So far I can tell you that this season is jam packed full of interesting twists and turns. I just can't get enough!

So why should you watch another thing about Vampires? I admit it - I thought it was pretty lame too; common the name True Blood? Really is that the best they could do? But last summer my friend Gama and I were really bored (we had just finished The Tudors and we needed something to replace our sexual craving - yeah The Tudors: hot and sexy) and I heard that True Blood was actually a pretty decent show. So we rented the whole first season. Couldn't stop watching it the whole night, by morning we watched every single episode. And then we were hooked. What's not to like about True Blood? Theirs romance, sex, action, suspense, sex, fantasy, thrill, and well a whole lot of sex. And the men in the show, well there is nudity in almost every episode with men who are in ab-solutely amazing shape. I would let them suck me any day.

A Taste of the Man Candy on True Blood.
I would start from Season one and work your way to the latest episodes. It's so worth watching.
Love,
ALPHA
