The Queen of Drag - RuPaul

Everyone's heard of Drag Queens, well let me tell you about the Queen of all Queens in the Drag World, and that is RuPaul. He/She is not only a drag queen, but also an actor, model, author and singer-songwriter. RuPaul started just like any other Drag Queen - dancing and performing in clubs in Atlanta and New York City and from there sprouted his popularity. RuPaul is also famous for his indifference towards gender specific pronouns so he uses both 'he' and 'she':

"You can call me he. You can call me she. You can call me Regis and Kathie Lee;
I don't care! Just as long as you call me!"

The latest news involving RuPaul is his show on LogoTv. Her show appropriately titled, "RuPaul's Drag Race" is a competition to find the next big drag queen! It's actually quite remarkable. Image a combined combination of Project Runway, America Idol, America's Got Talent, America's Next Top Model, and more all into this one show. And if you think the drama is good on other shows - you haven't seen drama until you watched this show! Really, a whole bunch of tense, gay, outgoing me? Drama, Drama, Drama...and it's absolutely hilarious. And the fun doesn't stop there! Now there's a show called RuPaul's Drag U where many queens from the Drag Race are teachers! Their students? Real Women! They transform these ordinary women to absolute divas! Still a competition of who will graduate at the top of the class - but don't worry all will drag-uate with sass, self-respect, and a sense that anything is possible! Looove it!

Love,
ALPHA
