Float Your Boat!

Something all generations have in common is the inevitable feeling of STRESS. Pills, massages, so many things have been done in attempt to get rid of this deadly feeling but we still feel the stress. I know students feel it because of SAT's, EE's, boyfriends, social life and parents feel stress because of their kids being stressed. A new method of releasing stress that has come across the eyes of the public and has been getting rising popularity is called Floatarium Therapy.

The Floatarium Therapy consists of immersing yourself in a floatation tank set to warm temperature. It is a lightless and soundproof tank inside which people float in salt water at skin temperature. There are numerous benefits of good old sea water not only for keeping your face beautiful but now also for keeping relaxed. It helps with depression, anxiety and fear, as well as increases motivation and facilitates freedom!

Let's take a look into the mind of a person that has experienced Floatation Therapy:

I felt
"excited and apprehensive. I had to do a skin test before I went into the Floatarium to get checked for allergies in the high salt content water.  They were taken into the shower area and then to the sauna. Sweaty and Steaming. I had yet another cold shower session before I was floatarium ready!"

I sensed
"wonderful sense of oneness with the self as they were immersed in the floatation tank set to warm temperature. Once the little door is drawn shut, and I was in semi-darkness. I lay down on the water. Just like the dead see where the extreme amount of dissolved salt makes you float, this water contained over 100 kg of epsom salts and other minerals. The act of floating releases muscular tension and the minerals rejuvenate the kin and indeed the hours of weightless floating made them say goodbye to all the stress they had been carrying."

I experienced
"every one of the sensation I had been promised. With the light music around, that one hour of floating free from the effects of gravity was equivalent to six hours of mental and physical rest. The release of endorphins and the peaceful solitude leading to a burst of happiness form within. Yes, the skin does itch after the hour but that's nothing a shower and some moisturizer can't take care of."

If floatation therapy isn't for you, here are some other marine wonders that can help your body!

                                                      Seaweed
Seaweed contains a host of nutrients like vitamins minerals, amino acids and is loaded with antioxidants. When sued topically as a body wrap, the seaweed helps drain out toxins from the body and repair damaged tissue. I've actually done a seaweed wrap in Turkey before and it makes you feel amazing. After the wrap, I felt like all the dirt was gone of my face and I just felt more beautiful!

  Dead Sea Mud

The mineral infused mud of the dead sea is said to contain the same nutrients and beautifying properties as the water and has been used by the likes of Cleopatra an the Queen of Sheba during beauty rituals

Cod Liver Oil
Extracted from the Atlantic-dwelling cod fish, this has high levels of vitamins A and D and is widely used to treat arthritic pain and stiffness, improve heart health and help repair skin hair and nail tissue.
