Underarm Laser Removal

While Alpha and I were at a cafe, we began to discuss what we had to go when we got to America (for college). I told her that I wanted to find a good dentist - I really do care about my teeth - and then she mentioned that she wanted to look into underarm laser removal. I had also been curious with that since my eldest sister had that treatment too. So, I began to look up what this all meant and here's the information for you.

Underarm laser hair removal is basically what it sounds like, but in this case its with a laser and not a razor or wax. It's actually quite common among women and it's really nice because sometimes you can accidentally forget to take of the area but no worries, it's already hairless. For real, underarm hair is so annoying - not only is it tedious to take care of, but it can get razor burn easily, growing hair can be noticeable and it can cause an increase in body odor. That's why  laser hair removal is so ideal.

This is a small area to treat, so removal of underarm hair is one of the fastest procedures in laser therapy - requiring only several minutes of treatment time. The number of treatments is also much lower than other larger parts of the body such as the chest, back or legs. Which makes it so much more affordable for the average person - hurray! Also, the procedure is also generally without much pain - double win!

The advantages of laser hair removal is that it really can permanently stop hair growth. A series of treatments is spaced over a number of weeks  in order to destroy the hair root in all its 3 growth cycles. This is done by a pulse of laser light that targets those hairs in the growth phase.  Hair can initially grow back, however it is thinner and lighter - still a win.

Since the armpit is so small, which makes the procedure the fastest - taking only several minutes - the average cost is around $100 to $250. Prices seem to decrease as the number of treatment as decreases. In some clinics, you may find that there is a special or package consisting of one flat rate including a standard three or four treatments - maybe saving you a third of the final cost.  The number of sessions depends on how dense the armpit hair is.

Scared that this is dangerous? You shouldn't be! Although it may sound harsh, it's actually safe for your underarms. In fact, it's gentle on your skin! Now that won me over. After reading all this information about laser removal, I'm totally going to find a clinic. Gosh, it'll be great not to worry if I can wear a tang-top or a strapless!

Love,
ALPHA
