I like to make brownies from the box - it's easy, fast, and simple. But, when I have the chance, I do like to get creative with my brownies. I got this idea from my sister's friend actually.
Step 1: Follow the Box.
Yeah, basically follow all the instructions on the the back of the box. Except, go for the thick brownies - so that means the smaller pan. Stop following the directions when you're about to pour the mix into the pan. Place about half the batter into the pan!
Step 2: Select a Candy Bar
Here is the insane part of this that makes your brownies extreme. You get to pick your favorite candy bar and yes, place it in the pan on top of the batter! I would go for a flatter candy bar that's not so thick or filled with other things...I mean it's still a brownie you know. Go for Heath Bars, White Chocolate Bars, you know that kind of stuff!
So once you have placed your candy bar on top of your brownies batter, pour the rest of it on top - make sure it is fully covered! And then place it in the oven for the appropriate time. Easy enough right? When it's done, it's key to let it cool down well so the candy bar doesn't melt too much. I know everyone likes it when its gooey and warm, but common you have a candy bar brownie!
Enjoy!
Love,
ALPHA
