Dolce & Gabbana

This fashion house revealed their Summer 2012 collection, and it is B-E-A-UTIFUL.

The first part is a dedication to floral prints. My friend and I were talking about it and well we love it of course, but he mentioned that it looked a bit too 'Resort' which I can totally see. But it's still fabulous. My favorite is the short red print dress on the right side.

The second part follows the same suit style wise, but it colors become bit more monochrome. This whole collection so far reminds me on the 50s and the 60s, but at the same time it has those modern touches. Like the separate top and skirt and the little details like fabric patterns and accessories. The ensemble in whole is really a work of art.

Can you believe that this is part of the same collection? The style is gradually changing and what is this?! An addition of beads, gems and jewels. Oh my goodness, it looks like candy and I am just in love. It's cute, sweet, fun, and totally chic! Bravo, Dolce and Gabbana, Bravo!

This was probably my favorite part of the whole show. An army of bejeweled outfits just strutted down the runway. There was just so much going on, I'm glad this was photographed. Each is so different and the detailing is just outstanding. I have no idea where you would wear this (or how much it costs, yikes!) but it is now my dream to own one of these (preferably the black one in the top center). SO BEAUTIFUL.

Wonderful Show. This is why Fashion is so amazing.

Be A 'To Do' List Pro

Everyone, whether in high school, college, or working, needs to keep themselves organized with all their responsibilities. It's hard remembering everything you have to do, or buy, or turn in. The best way to remember everything you need to in an organized way is by making a 'to do' list. But remember, keeping a list only works if you use it and complete it every single say. Here is how to make your lists work better;

  1. Avoid having multiple lists | If you have a separate list for all areas of your life (work, school, home), you will be overwhelmed or waste time ticking tasks off and rewriting.
  2. Forget the color coding | Carefully highlighted, color coded, or annotated lists are indications of procrastination, not organization.
  3. Write out each point clearly on a large piece of paper | If you write your lists on a small piece or scrap paper, a napkin, or a sticky note it will leave you feeling more disorganized.
  4. Prioritize tasks with an asterisk| Only move on to the less important tasks when you have the time, it is critical to finish you important tasks as your first priorities.
  5. Set and meet all the actions from your list within the appropriate period of time | Start with the tasks you've been avoiding - successful people do the things they dislike first.
  6. A To Do list should have no more than eight points | It is designed to make you efficient and organized, not scared.
  7. Give yourself a reward | To keep yourself motivated reward yourself with something you like when your to do list has been completed.

The Sweater Trend

You've probably seen this trend around. It's popular for obvious reasons - it's so comfy and casual!! It's easy to dress it up or keep it casual and cool.

Top Left - Forever 21, Top Center - H&M, Top Right - TopShop
Bottom Left - Gap, Bottom Center - American Eagle, Bottom Right - Zara

So simple yet chic and cute! You can easily dress them up too check out the tips from Cosmopolitan:

1) Pair with simple, fitted bottoms like skinny jeans or shorts.

2) Go for styles with surprising, cool details, like graphics or lace.

3) Avoid zippers and hoods - too look is a glammed-up taked on a casual basic.

My suggestion, add some cute and simple accessories! Long necklaces, dangly earrings or hoops, or banging bracelets.

Perfume: Coach - Poppy Flower

The newest addition to the fashion house of Coach. The cute and fun, floral scent perfume Poppy Flower. A flirty scent perfect, personally I think  for the Spring season. But I can image wearing it on a brisk fall day out on a walk. It's fresh and happy in a bottle.

Television: The Playboy Club

It's my new obsession. The Playboy Club is not really what you think. Okay, maybe just a little bit. There are a bunch of sexy and beautiful women who are dressed up as bunnies with their boobs pushed up so high they're about to fall out. But oh lordy, there is so much more!!

The show takes place in Chicago in the early 1960s; what a time, what a time! The show basically takes place in the Playboy Club (duh), this place is at the center of Chicago and is a place of fantasy filled with $1.50 cocktails (I wish there were places like this still...), music (oh my goodness some of the numbers are to die for! - AHmazing), glitter and of course the breath-taking bunnies. It's also a member based club, you need a bunny key to get in: total status symbol.

The show includes comedy, romance, dreams, and...suspense. A show really to look out for! I know I'll be watching it every Monday! (NBC, Monday 10/9c)

The Perfect Fit

Jeans - every girl has them, but the key is to find the perfect ones. It depends for every woman and what they like. Here is a guide to the different kinds of jeans (well the popular ones in 2011!)

1. Flared Jeans
These jeans are this season's "it" jeans! Bring back this 70s cut because it really does reflect the aesthetic of that time period. Flared jeans have the fitted look as bootcut jeans, albeit with a slightly larger leg opening at the bottom. So, if you're a girl who normally wears bootcut jeans, go for the flare :)

Jeans from Old Navy, PacSun, American Eagle and Gap

2. Skinny Jeans
These are my personal favorite (for real, almost every pair of jeans I have are skinny jeans!) This is a trend that seems to just keep going on and on and on! They've been so popular for a long time and its just natural to pair things with this style - it's just so simple and easy! A must have in any wardrobe. Plus, they makes your legs look so nice.

Jeans from American Eagle, PacSun, H&M, Gap, Old Navy

3. Wide-Leg Trouser Jeans
Another type of denim cut with a distinct 70s vibe. However, these are fitted throughout the hip and leg, weide-leg jeans have a loose, body-skimming fit. These jeans are super-chic whether you wear them with flats and a tee or a pretty blouse and sky-high heels.

Jeans from ASOS, Oasis, Old Navy, Gap

4. Boyfriend Jeans
Menswear-inspired fashion is going to be huge this autumn! These slouchy jeans are super laid-back, making them perfect for casual days. Just remember to pair them with fitted tops for balance!

Jeans from Gap, American Eagle, Top Shop, ASOS

Rekindle That Old Flame?

Firstly, I feel terrible about not posting recently. I'm sooooooorrrrryyyy. I will try my hardest to publish at least one story a day - I know I have the time...it's just if I want to do it. And I sincerely will try...because you know I have some stories to tell you!

But for now...I'll tell you about...my 'flame'.
*****

Might have been through all these stages....
not marriage though
Oh Beta, Beta, Beta! If you've read my earlier posts about sex and relationships...well it's the same Beta. Still in my life and he's actually very present in it at the moment. For those of you who don't know it....Beta and I have quite an interesting relationship - well, I guess you would say a little messed up... WELL, basically all you need to know is that we dated, he took my virginity, we split, we got back together, we split blah blah blah same thing over and over again. I moved out of the country...we still talked (it would be dirty every now and then), we revealed our feelings - yup, the "L" word - he took it back, shut out and left me. And poof, back he was and then he left again ((I actually did block him from facebook shhh!)) and well now we're here....in the present...

I guess it's easier to talk to somebody when you're in the same country...in the same time zone... and have each other's phone numbers...ok ok ok basically Beta and I are talking again. Not talking talking...well I guess flirty talking. Our typical conversation begins normally, "What's Up" "How's Life" "Anything New" and then come the jokes and laughs. And then the touching, "I miss you" and then the reminiscing of memories....which could end up as a dirty conversation (I've avoided it for now...but oh lord, I might cave in soon!)

I don't know what kind of person you are when you get involved with a guy. But I've pretty much figured out how I act... I pretty much panic and get creeped out. I get scared when there's so much attention from a guy that I can't decide whether I like him or  if I just like being the focus of some guy's affection. In this case, a little scared that I also might get hurt again. So, I do the typical thing - make a pro and con list...sort of.

Con's: His way of ending things consisted of not talking to me, totally afraid of commitment, always sexual...ALWAYS, do we ever have real conversations??, why do we always end of sexting?, Do we just have sex and make out (that could be my fault at times!), Is this what a real relationship is suppose to be like??

Pro's: He's missed me since the last moment he saw me, he can't stop thinking about me (or so he says), he's always there when I need someone to talk to, he makes me smile and laugh, duh he took my virginity my sexual life is totally bound to him blah, hmmm sex, very sweet and cute, Is this what a real relationship is suppose to be like??

*****

I don't know what to think. I mean obviously nothing is going to happen between us - we're in two different places - but it is bad that we keep talking in this flirty, almost sexual manner? I do care about him - for real - and had I actually gone to his school I probably would be with him (and he said the same thing too). Am I eternally bound to him because of the virginity thing? Am I just really horny and want a guy's attention (it's been a while guys)? Or am I...gulp...in love with him?

So much to think about...oh cock balls. I'mma sleep on it...oh I wish it were that simple.

ALPHA

Watch How Much You Drink

How Much Alcohol To Drink So You Never Die
((from Jezebel.com))

You know how drinking is bad for you, yet good for you, yet also bad for you? Well, new research confirms that it is good for you until it is bad for you. Confused? Our breakdown will help you drink the exact right amount so you live forever.

******

Zero drinks per week
You are a loser. You're going to die, and also be lonely.

Zero drinks per week, concentrated on the weekend
Binge non-drinking is very dangerous. You're going to die.

One to two drinks per week
Maybe you're taking really intense communion on Sundays? Whatever you're doing, God is smiling on you a little tiny bit. According to new research, your odds of good health at age 70 are 11% greater than those of non-drinkers. Still, you will eventually die.

2.333333 to 7 drinks per week
Are you actually measuring out one-third of a drink per day? How are you even doing that? You're probably kind of weird, but congrats, you've got a 19% increased chance of being a healthy old lady. Still a 100% chance of someday being a dead person though.

Seven to fourteen drinks per week, concentrated on the weekend
No no no no, you're doing it wrong. Saving all your drinking for the weekend (or, say, Tuesdays, because those are your misery days) pretty much wipes out the health benefits. And you know what that means, don't you? I'll give you a hint: death.

Seven to fourteen drinks per week, concentrated in three or four days
You know how sometimes you go out with your friends and have a couple of glasses of wine, and sometimes you don't? That sounds pretty life-prolonging to you, doesn't it? Think again, Deady McDeadpants. This pattern might help you out a little bit, but you're still going to croak.

Seven to fourteen drinks per week, spread over five to seven days
Yes! This is the perfect amount and frequency of drinking that will cause you to live an eternal life full of joy and fulfillment. Use your power wisely, oh Immortal One.*

More than fourteen drinks per week
You drink too much. You're a lush. A dead one.

Facebook Funk

I found this article on CNN about Facebook very interesting and surprising. It is no shock that Facebook is one of the biggest happening things in the world today, but it is also no shock that most of its new features suck. [Here is an article about Facebook's new features and the public's reaction towards it]. That said, it never hit me that Facebook was falling behind so much. Now, keeping in mind what is mentioned in this article, a good writer can make things sound better or worse than they actually are through exaggeration and word play. Still, it seems like everyone's beloved Facebook has some catching up to do.

Fashion Icon; Blake Lively

Everyday:
Blake Lively's everyday look is very casual and never over done. Nevertheless she always looks chic because of the way she pairs clothes together and because of the way she pairs her clothes with her accessories. For example, she paired simple faded pink shorts and a tucked in white T with beaming red heels, making her look more stylish.
Red Carpet:
As you can see, when it comes to the red carpet, Blake Lively never wears the same style of dress twice. She goes from one shoulder to slit leg and is able to pull off everything! Blues and reds work well with her hair and skin color and is a popular choice among her red carpet dresses. My 2 favorite are the red dress on the left and the grey on the right. The grey dress was actually worn on the set of Gossip Girl.

Hemp Fest

If you were in the downtown Boston area yesterday, were you in for a treat! It was the annual Freedom Fair, most commonly known as Hemp Fest. Yes, basically everyone gathers in the Boston Commons and lights up. No joke. Smoke is everywhere, blunts are everywhere. People are seriously stoned out of their minds.

And it's actually a legitimate event too. There are bands that play, there are multiple food stalls (seriously ice cream, chicken fingers, burritos, liquid volcano drinks - almost anything and everything). And there there are some other stands that sell like random things - jewelry, clothes, posters.

Well, I did not part take in this activity but I totally went to see what it was and boy was it an experience!!! Even though I didn't smoke, I felt like I got high because everyone around me was smoking so much! Seriously, totally an interesting day. HA! And there were people wearing the weirdest things too. Oh, was it an event hahahaha
