10 Sex Cravings (Part II)

10 Sex Cravings All Guys Have
Provided By Cosmopolitan
6. HE WANTS A "WOW, WHAT WAS THAT?" EXPERIENCE

To separate yourself from the pack, you'll need to pull a move so wild, he won't be able to stop thinking about it the next day. "If you've mastered one particular technique that's really hot and different, the entire erotic experience will stand out in his mind," explains psychologist Joel Block, PhD, author of The Art of the Quickie.
Now, you don't have to bust out a complicated trick best used by yoga instructors — just tweak an old standby, say, switching between oral sex and intercourse...with him blindfolded.

You may also want to come up with your own signature mouth move. "When my ex-girlfriend would go down on me, she took her time exploring the whole area with her tongue," remembers Peter, 32. "And she did cool stuff with it, like alternating between using the flat part and then covering the same territory with just the tip. It was an entirely different sensation!"

7. HE WANTS TO MIX THINGS UP
Repetition can make once-hot sack sessions seem ho-hum. So be open to varying things in bed. Any change in speed, pressure, or position will make the act more interesting and pleasurable. "Variety keeps him in a heightened state of arousal because he never knows what to expect," says Block.
During foreplay, wrap your fist around his member (with lube!), moving it up and down with long, smooth strokes. Then add your other hand, and gently twist both hands in opposing directions. When you get to intercourse, start off slowly in missionary. Next, rest your feet on his shoulders for deeper thrusting. Finally, roll over, and let him enter you from behind.
8. HE WANTS NOOKY OUT OF NOWHERE
"You'll win big sexual points with your guy if you spring sex on him out of the blue," says Gardos. "It gives him a huge ego boost by reinforcing the fact that you're really hot for him." For a spontaneous seduction, ask him to pull over to a deserted spot for a roadside romp when you're driving home one night. Or at a party, take him into a back bedroom or closet. Joe, 23, remembers a naughty surprise attack at a black-tie affair. "My date and I were sitting down at dinner, and she slid her hand under the table and began to pleasure me — right in the middle of the meal! It was so spontaneous and unexpected. I could barely sit still," he recalls.
9. HE WANTS TO TAKE YOU
The best way to bring out the sexy beast in your guy? Initiate some take-me-I'm-yours action. "He'd love to be raw and animalistic with you, but he needs to know you want it too," says Brame. "Kiss him seductively and then pull away, saying that if he wants more, he can come and get it." During the act, you can also tell him "harder" or "faster" if you feel like he's handling you with kid gloves.
Dave, 24, was totally psyched when a woman asked to be ravaged. "An ex-girlfriend lay down on the bed and begged me to rip off her clothes, which I did. The sex was great, but letting me tear her shirt in half was the best part because it was passionate and intense."

10. HE WANTS TO DO NOTHING SOMETIMES
On the flip side, occasionally men prefer it when you take over. Lying back while a chick has her way with him is an ultimate guy fantasy.
Just ask Brian, 26: "I was dating a woman who was sort of a bookworm. But when I got her into bed for the first time, she was wild. Before I could even try to take off her clothes, she threw me back on the bed and blindfolded me with her bra," he remembers. "Then she gave me the best oral sex ever. I didn't have to lift a finger."
For a softer approach, Brame suggests treating your man to allover titillation: Have him lie on the bed naked. Then, starting at one foot, kiss and lick your way up his leg and along the crease where his thigh meets his torso. Next, move to his side, up to his neck, and down to his main event. When you're ready for intercourse, treat him to reverse-cowgirl so he can't help you, even if he wants to. Trust us: The payback will be awesome.

Four Finger Fad

Okay, so me and my suite mate are a little obsessed with this new look. It's quite simple as you can see...you seriously just paint all your nails one color (like I did - the red color is The Show Must Go On by OPI) and then on your fourth finger either do a different color that compliments the red OR embellish it. I chose the latter and added Sally Hansen's Silver Crackle Overcoat. (I realize that it kind of just looks like silver but it is crackle - just really badly shattered...)

Personally, I think its cool hahaha and face it, it's pretty different.
We're trying to make it into a fad ya know?

The second fad that Alpha actually introduced to me was the toes above! So your big toe is one color and the rest of your toes are another. ((The teal color is OPI's Mermaid's Tears from the Pirates of the Caribbean collection and the purple color is OPI's Purple with a Purpose)). Now on the other foot you could do the exact same thing, or you could do the opposite! So (like what I did) I did my big toe purple and the rest are teal. Cute right?!

Try these out :) Tell me what you think!

Slip On a Comfy Shoe!! These flats pack as much style punch as any old stilettos! Add a Chain-Link Bag! Why? Because it's all about contrast, and the metal strap gives the dainty look a tougher edge.

The Chic Dressed Down Evening Look:  Pair an easy sweatshirt with a frilly skirt OR Go for Length!
A casual sweater even looks great with a long, elegant skirt.

To finish your look add a few key accessories!

Piece it all together and you got yourself one heck of a party outfit :)

Movies: The Descendants

Okay, so I actually saw this movie awhile ago (even before it came out again weeee) but oh my goodness you should see it too! The movie takes place on the beautiful islands of Hawaii - seriously gorgeous I wish I could go right now!! Who's in the movie? George Clooney - so there you just have to go now don't you?

What's the movie about?
"The Descendants is a sometimes humorous, sometimes tragic journey for Matt King (George Clooney) an indifferent husband and father of two girls, who is forced to re-examine his past and embrace his future when his wife suffers a boating accident off of Waikiki. The event leads to a rapprochement with his young daughters while Matt wrestles with a decision to sell the family's land handed down from Hawaiian royalty and missionaries."

I laughed. I cried. Throughout the whole movie and I loved it. ((So did Rotten Tomatoes!! - Another reason why you should go see it!!) It seriously is a great and beautiful movie. Really emphasizes the importance of family and stuff like that lol. I would definitely go pay to watch it. Just Saying.

It's Hard. Oh I Know.

I hate when you do this to me and make me feel like I'm not important to you. I hate that I can only think of you and wonder of you're thinking about me too. Why do I let myself fall into this trap every single time with you and always say that it will be different this time. Why do I make excuses for you. Why can't you tell me the way you feel or why you're going through. I want to be there for you and always go back to you but I don't want to if it is going to be like this. I wish you would be more open to me and tell me how you feel. But I can't do this anymore. I love you and I know I want to be with you even though we're apart. I don't know if you want that though and I don't want to wait for you to figure it out. It's always so hard to leave you and I never want to do it but I need to separate from you and you need to let me do it too. I'm tired of waiting for you. I just want someone to love me like I love them. I want a real relationship and I guess I can't have that with you. I'm sorry because I wish it were with you. If you can't be there for me, please let me go.

His Top 5 Sex Dreams

1. You Having the Best O Ever
Interestingly, guys tend to dream more about pleasuring you than themselves. When you're starring in his X-rated dream, it indicates he's feeling particularly connected to you.

2. His Ex Reappears
This usually means that he's longing for some part of that former relationship, not that he wants to be with her. For example, maybe they went out a ton and you two have been hanging more on the couch lately.

3. He's Getting It On With a Vampire
He'll often dream of having sex with fantasy figures (vampires, mermaids, aliens). They symbolize freedom from boundaries, so they'll pop up  when he needs an escape from daily pressures.

4. Angelina Jolie Makes a Cameo
Believe it or not, his brain serves up a star when he's hungry for attention. Our minds link celebrity to being fawned over.

5. He's Doing the Naughty Solo
When a guy dreams of masturbating, it means exactly what you'd think it would - he is sexually frustrated and needs some orgasmic release ASAP

How Will I Know I Am Really In Love?

The Seven Indicators To Know When You Are In Love

1.  Physical:  People who say they are in love report getting “goosebumps,” “a palpating heart,” “sweaty palms,” “a tingling sensation all over my body.”  People in love have a positive physical reaction when they think about or see the one they love.

2.  Emotional:  When they think about or see the person they love most lovers report “an uncontrollable smile comes over my face whenever I see her,” and “I miss him when he leaves the room.”  People in love feel emotions for the person they love that they do not routinely feel for others.

3.  Positive Worry:  Over the years, we continue to be amazed about the consistency with which people in love report to us that they “worry about their lover” when they are not around.  Thoughts about what we have come to call “positive worry” about the one they love begin to creep into their mind.

4. I-Cannot-Imagine-Life-Without-Him:  This is the point in love when you begin to think about the future – your future with the one you love.  When you cannot imagine your life without her, you are in love!

5. Oneness of Your Relationship:  You begin to realize that you truly want this other person in your life. In our book, we refer to the notion of “turning two into one.”  Everything changes from you and me, to WE!

6. Pre-Occupied Love:  Simply stated, you think about the one you love most of the time.  You can’t get them out of your mind.  You are in love with them!

7.  Love Itself and Your Ability to Express That Love:  You finally have the courage to tell them you love them! You suddenly and out of nowhere are inspired to say I LOVE YOU!  I LOVE YOU!  I LOVE YOU!  You shout it to the stars. You are in love!

25 Things Women Should Know How To Do (Part IV)

The next five ♥ from Girls Guide To

*****

16. Falling Asleep Without Counting Sheep
There are those nights when you just cannot fall asleep. Well I’ll tell you what you can do to help with this problem, sheep free. Keeping a regular sleep schedule helps you to fall asleep right on time every night. Not eating or exercising can be beneficial also; both of which keep you awake longer. Some people say reading a book helps them doze off. If you have a lot on your mind and can’t seem to sleep, try writing down your thoughts. Knowing that you won’t forget in the morning can put you at ease and let you catch some Z’s.
17. Flirting
Some women just don’t have "game" when it comes to flirting with men. You have to let a guy know that you’re into him if you ever want him to make a move. To do this, be calm and laid back, nobody likes someone who tries too hard. Break the touch barrier by lightly touching his arm when you laugh at his joke or picking some lint off of his shirt. Compliments really work wonderfully. Make sure they are sincere ones, though. Make eye contact and hold it for longer than you normally would, he’ll know something’s up. Talk about his interests, try to get to know him, he’ll know that you are interested.
18. Managing Time
Time management is definitely a life-saving skill to know. Planning ahead is the most important thing that you could do. Second most important, would have to be prioritizing. Decide what you need to do in which order, what has to be done by when and what can you hold off on? Set goals for yourself, this will help you stay on task because you’ll want to accomplish them. Organizing your environment and keeping a planner will also help you manage your time.
19. CPR
Be a hero, know your CPR. To start, check the person for breathing, by tilting their head back. If there is no breathing then you start mouth-to-mouth resuscitation. Plug their nose and cover their mouth with yours and breath 2 breaths into them, each breath being about 1 second long. Now look for responsiveness; breathing, coughing, or moving should occur, if not, start chest compressions. Place your hands in the middle of the person’s nipples and pump your hands up and down 1 ½ inches to 2 inches with each pump being less than 1 second. Do this 30 times. Repeat both steps until help arrives.

20. Putting a Condom on Your Partner
A very important lesson: putting on a condom. It can save you from sexually transmitted diseases and unplanned pregnancy. First of all obtain a condom; from the store, a doctor’s office, or a clinic, like Planned Parenthood (they’ll give you a ton for free!). Now to put it on your partner, just place the condom on the head of the penis, holding the tip of the condom with your fingers, and roll it up all the way. Voila! You’re on your way to safe sex.

10 Sex Cravings (Part I)

Here are 10 Sex Cravings All Guys Have
Provided by Cosmopolitan

1. HE WANTS A GIRL WHO CAN TURN HERSELF ON
Women, as you know, need time to get revved up. Although your man may be more than willing to pull out all the stops to get you hot, he wouldn't mind if you gave yourself a running start. "A number of women still believe that it's solely a man's job to arouse them," says Georgia sex therapist Gloria Brame, PhD. "To have a really fulfilling sexual experience though, you have to put some effort into getting yourself into a sexual state of mind."
To give your libido a boost, draw on the same sources of inspiration you use during solo self-pleasuring missions. Once his seduction scheme begins, close your eyes and fantasize about a hot encounter you had with your man...or even some other dude. "It's totally okay to think about another sexual partner when you're trying to turn yourself on," reassures Brame. "You just might not want to tell your boyfriend about it."
2. HE WANTS SEX TO BE FUN
Unfortunately, real-life romps aren't as seamless as they are in the movies. "Things don't always go smoothly during sex — some positions don't work, and odd noises happen," says Gardos. "If you get hung up on a mishap, it will ruin the mood. But if you can both laugh, it becomes a light bonding moment."
Frisky fun is about more than damage control though. Make a silly bet to be paid off in sexual favors or play a board game naked in bed and agree that the loser has to grant the winner one lusty request.

3. HE WANTS YOU TO DROP HINTS
When it comes to pleasing the women in their lives, every man wishes he had ESP (extrasexual perception). But the truth is, your libidinous longings can be baffling. "That's why a guy loves it when you're able to guide him without barking out orders," says Gardos.
So when giving erotic instruction, throw in some positive reinforcement. "Tell him how good it feels when he does something right, or remind him of a technique that always gets you off," suggests Brame. "If he's not giving you enough foreplay, ask him to use his hand or mouth to warm you up, saying that you want to draw out the experience."
4. HE WANTS TO WATCH
For men, what they see is almost as good as what they get, so make sure to give him an eyeful. "One time during sex, my girlfriend led me over to a mirror so we could see ourselves in action," remembers Tyler, 21. "I found it really sexy, but what made it hotter was how into it she was."
Another way to turn him on with sight: Keep some clothes on. Sometimes men prefer when you leave a little to the imagination. "Sexy lingerie can be as arousing — or more so — as being nude, because it builds anticipation," says Bob Berkowitz, PhD, coauthor of When Men Stop Having Sex.
More great views: you in girl-on-top position or, if you're feeling brave, touching yourself in front of him.
5. HE WANTS YOU TO BE NAUGHTY
Even if you're a bad girl at heart, you might hold back with your guy. "Women are often afraid to get naughty in a relationship, because they don't want to shatter any 'good girlfriend' image he has or they don't want him to think they're weird," explains Brame. "But men want to see that no-holds-barred side of you — they just don't want to offend you by asking for it."
What dirty-girl tricks fit the bill? Pretty much anything that shows him how much you like sex and how much you want it with him, says Gardos. To let him know you're into him, grab his butt hard when he's climaxing or gently nip his shoulder.
You may also want to do something unexpected, like initiating a new position or trying a passion prop. "My girlfriend and I were out shopping when she suggested we check out this sex-toy shop," Nick, 27, says. "We ended up buying this thing called a penis sleeve, which is basically a thick, bumpy condom. Not only was it fun to use, but I loved how eager she was to try it."

Bradley Cooper: Sexiest Man of the Year

PEOPLE magazine have named their Sexiest Man of the Year 2011 and the title goes to the gorgeous and handsome Bradley Cooper. Alpha definitely has no complaints with this :)

Yet, there has been quite a controversy over this title. Many believe that instead of Bradley Cooper, the title should have gone to fellow act Ryan Gosling.

Honestly, both men are incredibly sexy. Personally, I think it was okay for Cooper to win this year - he's at his peak in my mind. Ryan Gosling though have many many more years to come.

If you agree that Gosling should have been the Sexist Man of 2011, here are 63 Reasons Why Bradley Cooper Definitely Isn't The Sexiest Man Alive.

Go Extreme

You know what. Try something new for a change. Do that extreme style you want to do!! If you want to shave half your hair off do it lol, trust me it can actually work well on many people.

It's very interesting and becoming pretty popular - I know I've seen many people with this style I dunno about you!

Don't worry you don't only have to keep it down, you can braid it and even flip it to the shaven side - basically you can play with this hair style.

Personally, I don't know that I could ever do that but if you wanna do something drastic...this is pretty drastic.

Television: Once Upon A Time

Still a little girl in love with fairy tales and magical stories about princess and mystical creatures? Well, this is a show for you...

Once Upon A Time is, at its core, a story about hope. "For us, that’s what a fairytale is. It’s that ability to think your life will get better. It’s why you buy a lottery ticket—because if you win you get to tell your boss that you’re quitting and you get to move to Paris or wherever and be who you always wanted to be. And that’s Cinderella, right? One day she’s sweeping up and the next she’s going to the ball. Adam and I just wanted to write about something hopeful that for one hour a week allows one to put everything aside and have that feeling that your dreams just may come true."
- Edward Kitsis, Co-Creator/Executive Producer

Emma Swan’s life has been anything but a fairytale. A 28-year-old bail bondsperson, she’s been taking care of herself since she was abandoned as a baby. But when Henry—the son she gave up 10 years ago—finds her, everything changes. Henry is desperate for his mom’s help and thinks that Emma is actually the long, lost daughter of Snow White and Prince Charming. Yes, the actual Snow White and Prince Charming. Even stranger, Henry believes that Storybrooke, the sleepy New England town he calls home, is really part of a curse cast by the Evil Queen, freezing fairytale characters in the modern world with no memory of their former selves.
Of course the seen-it-all Emma doesn’t believe a word, but when she gets to Storybrooke, she can’t help sensing that everything’s not quite what it seems. As Henry shows Emma around with the help of his fairytale book, the town, and its inhabitants like Henry’s therapist Archie Hopper and the enigmatic Mr. Gold, seem just strange enough to set off her already suspicious nature. She becomes even more concerned for Henry when she meets his adopted mother, Regina, who he suspects is none other than the Evil Queen herself!
Storybrooke is a place where magic has been forgotten—but is still powerfully close—and happily ever after seems just out of reach. In order to understand where the fairytale world’s former inhabitants came from, and what ultimately led to the Evil Queen’s wrath, you’ll need a glimpse into their previous lives. But it might just turn everything you’ve ever believed about these characters upside-down.
Meanwhile, the epic battle for the future of all worlds, modern and fairytale alike, is about to begin. For good to win, Emma will have to accept her destiny and fight like hell. Already on it's fourth episode, I can't wait to see how the season will turn out :) Already obsessed with this show!! It's just great to indulge in fantasy and magic and have an adult twist on these beloved tales.
"We kept circling back to the idea of fairytales. The very first stories that you hear when you're a kid. They're full of magic and heroics and fear and joy. But we also found fairytales are full of all these unanswered questions. Like why is Grumpy grumpy? Why is Geppetto so lonely that he'd actually carve a little boy out of wood? And did the Evil Queen really try to kill Snow White simply because of vanity? With Once Upon A Time, we set out to explore those questions and not re-tell these stories but attempt to dig beneath what we all know and try to discover something new."
- Adam Horowitz, Co-Creator/Executive Producer

Rise - Wonderland

Okay, another club that I went to over the weekend. The club is actually called Rise but the specific event that I went to was called 'Wonderland' - it's kind of like an Alice and Wonderland theme...ish...they mainly use the White Rabbit and like every now and then have other Alice things pop up.

Firstly, its $20 for guest and $15 for guest list - thank goodness I was on the guest list! Shesh $20 is a lot of money plus on top of that its $3 coat check too. So, there goes $18 for a place that I only spent an hour or so at...so here was my experience....

Overall, the music was FANTASTIC. Very great DJ's playing electronic and dubstep music, when I danced freely it was a complete blast! The physical environment was also very interesting and cool. The club takes place on three different levels - the first level just being an entrance though. The two other levels are to dance!

Not many people on the second level when I was there but it was mainly for signing up for future events, coat check, and taking pictures and stuff like that. Third floor is where the real dancing takes place. The walls are lined with mirrors and music is played fairly loud. It's dark with black lights and glow sticks - super cool.

So why did I leave absurdly early? Well....there are a lot of random and weird and creepy guys that go...It was very uncomfortable and they aren't afraid to just come up to you and seriously start touching you. So if you do go make sure to go with a pretty decent sized group with many MEN - gay and straight it don't matter!! But oh lordy there are many and a lot of creepy creepy guys - eek!!!

Need help getting away from creepy guys? Dance with your girls and protect each other! OR act like a complete weirdo :) It worked for me hehe

25 Things Women Should Know How To Do (Part III)

The next five ♥ from Girls Guide To

*****

11. Staying Safe Online
Today, in the age of Facebook and Twitter, it’s very easy to slip up and give away some precious information. Posting information, such as your address, where you are, or when you aren’t going to be home, can be remarkably dangerous. Posting your status on Myspace as "In Hawaii until Thursday!" is actually saying, "Come rob my house! I’m not home!" Be smart about what you say and what details you give on the web. Make your web page private and so only people you know can see what you post. If it’s not private always ask yourself, would I tell this to a complete stranger?

12. Staying Happy at Your Job
If you’re at a job that used to seem great, but has long since lost it’s appeal and there’s no other job opportunities out there, then make the best of it. Try being more social. Forming relationships at work will make you look forward to seeing your co-workers and give you a better working environment. Speaking of environment, what’s your work space like? Make it cozier by adding a few of your own touches, like a photograph or a plant. Maybe the problem at your job is that you’re not being challenged enough. Ask your boss for more or different work to do, this may help stimulate your brain causing you to be more entertained. Also, allow yourself a little bit of free time. Check your email or IM a friend for 15 minutes a day in between working.
13. Fighting That Hangover
So your drinking got a little out of hand last night. You don’t know much except you luckily ended up in your own bed. What you do know is now you have a pounding headache and feel extremely queasy. What do you do now? Start by calling in sick, nobody will question you if you say that you have the flu. Now, drink up. Alcohol makes you dehydrated so avoid caffeine, which will add to the dehydration, stick to large amounts of water and juice. Eat light foods (if you can eat at all), such as crackers. Go back to sleep then repeat.
14. Acing the Interview For Your Dream Job
It’s the job of your dreams and you’re nervous about the interview. Well, don’t worry, I have your back. Make sure you start your day off well; get a good nights sleep, eat a healthy, but filling, breakfast, and get up on time. Research about the company or business that you are trying to work for, the interviewer will be impressed that you did your homework. Stay confident. Confidence can make a huge difference; your future boss will be able to tell that you are confident in yourself and your abilities. Be professional, dress the part and always be polite. Most of all, be yourself.
15. Planing the Perfect Party
Throwing the perfect bash is hard work, but very worth it in the end. Plan early so you will be sure that you have enough time for all the preparations. Some things to think about include; what kind of party, the invitations, who to invite, where it will take place, where your guests will park, the hors d'oeuvres, the beverages, the seating, the atmosphere and lighting of the venue, coffee for later, and of course all of the little details. If all of this is overwhelming try having a friend help you out.

The Disney Princess Guide

Many of us girls grew up watching the classic Disney Princess movies and well let's face it wanted to be a princess ourselves. Of course we realize now that those dreams of living in an enchanted castle with pet animals probably wont ever happen but we can still manage a happily ever after! And where should we look to to accomplish this? You guessed it, those Disney Princesses! Here are some rules that Her Campus  came up with and what they learned from those magical Disney masterpieces :)
*****
Snow White
As "the fairest in the land," Disney’s first princess, Snow White, is just like that girl at the kegger. You know the type – she loves attention from guys and she needs a group of them circled around her at all times. Co-ed living isn’t so out of the norm, but living with seven guys? That sounds like a frat house. Yuck. And although Snow White wasn’t hooking up with Sneezy, Dopey, and Grumpy, she’s definitely acting like their housewife. She caters to their every whim, cleans their house (with rabid cute and cuddly woodland animals), and cooks them hot meals, all the while waiting around for Prince Charming to ride in on his noble steed and sweep her off her feet. For lack of a better term, she’s a doormat for guys, not to mention a bit of a drama queen.

Princess Lesson #1 – Don’t be a Doormat for Guys
Want to make a prince campus cutie fall head over heels in love with you? Hanging around a house full of guys probably isn’t the best bet. Playing the jealousy card can backfire in the worst way. Not to mention that letting guys walk all over you and acting like a servant does not create respect in a relationship, and no one wants someone they can’t respect.

Sleeping Beauty
Picture this – you fall into a magical, semi-conscious stupor only to be awakened by the kiss of a prince. This sounds a little all-too familiar doesn’t it? It sounds to me like Princess Aurora aka “Sleeping Beauty” had one too many margaritas at the bar with her friends on Thirsty Thursday and woke up to a sloppy frat boy sucking her face.
Princess Lesson #2 – Avoid Drunk Hook-Ups
If there’s one thing you can learn from Sleeping Beauty (and one too many vodka tonics), it’s this: drunken hookups are not sexy. Despite what happens in the movie, we know that not every guy who kisses you back to life or who you meet in the woods alone (creeper much?) is a prince. If you want to meet real guys and not just opportunists hanging by the bar, avoid Aurora’s scenario. And as for the “evil witch” who cast that spell? Well, we’ll just call her Smirnoff and leave it at that.
Jasmine
You just met the man of your Disney-inspired dreams. Sure, he’s a little shabby, but he’s adventurous and funny, he treats you right and his dorm has the best view of campus (not to mention he has a pretty rad carpet). You’re most likely not in an arranged political marriage like Jasmine, but you might be pressured to date other guys. Your friends and family don’t get “what you see in that guy” and you’re unfazed by that perfect guy from home who your mom is trying to hook you up with (“he’s pre-med, honey!”). Do what Jasmine did – follow your heart even if it means “climbing the palace walls,” so to speak.
Princess Lesson #3 – Look for the “Diamond in the Rough”
I’m not saying that if you’re greeted by a man in shabby clothes covered in dirt you should allow him to lead you down dark alleys and abandoned buildings into his “home.” But take a word of advice from the Sultan’s daughter – sometimes overlooking the flashy princes and giving the grungier-looking guy in the corner a second glance isn’t always a bad idea. He might just be a “diamond in the rough.”

Belle
Seeing Belle and Beast, you might call their relationship borderline abusive (Beast has some serious anger management issues). Sure, he’s a little hairy and is severely lacking in table manners (he eats soup like a dog), but… he’s a guy, right? And what are guys if not hairy and messy? You can change him, right?

Princess Lesson #4 –  You Can’t Change Him
Wrong! Don’t make Belle’s mistake and let your boyfriend become your project. Just because you might be able to teach him how to properly use silverware or ballroom dance doesn’t mean you can change a “beast” into a prince, no matter how much of a monster he was before you met him. Instead, try following some of Belle’s better examples of engaging in your boyfriend’s favorite hobbies – reading, playing in snowball fights, ballroom dancing, anything that you both can enjoy.
Ariel
Ok, so this fish-tailed princess doesn’t teach a lot of great lessons in love(drastically changing your body and ditching your friends and family for a guy doesn’t exactly promote a healthy message about body image and self-respect), but one thing we can take away from her fairytale story is how important communication and body language are to dating and someday meeting (and maybe even keeping) that special guy you’ve had your eye on.

Princess Lesson #5 –  Body Language Speaks Volumes
I know, I know - it’s been said a dozen times before, but it’s true. Eric can get to know and fall in love with Ariel even though she’s missing vocal chords (cue the singing seagulls, “kiss the girl, sha la la la la la…”) . Her fun-loving personality still shows through in her lovable quirks (although I wouldn’t suggest brushing your hair with a fork), her facial expressions, and her body language. Give it a try. You might end up feeling like a fish out of water, but even if you flop – maybe you trip or fall over (maybe your boat gets capsized like what happens to Ariel and Eric), you and your guy can always laugh it off. Guys will appreciate that you have a sense of humor and you’re not afraid to laugh at yourself.
Cinderella
I actually empathize a lot with Cinderella – squeezing my feet into those perfect must-have heels and running around campus with a million errands (it doesn’t involve evil demanding stepsisters, but you get my drift). Among other things (like knowing how to put in a hard day’s work and being kind even to those who treat you unkindly), Cinderella teaches us a very important lesson in love.

Princess Lesson #6 - Don’t Try to Be Someone You Aren’t
Between formals and parties, classes and walks around campus, it’s tempting to get dolled up for your guy every day, but don’t overdo it, especially if you start appearing to be someone you aren’t. If a guy is going out with you in the first place, caking on every kind of makeup you own and perfectly curling your hair on every date is only going to put pressure on you to maintain that image. Come that fateful day when you run into each other and you’re wearing your  sweats with your hair tied up in a not-so perfect ponytail, he might not even recognize you right away. And as we learn in the end from Cinderella, the right guy will like you for who you are, not the shoes you’re wearing.
Pocahontas
Sometimes our happy endings don’t always work out. As hard as you might try at a relationship, there’s always that thing, big or small, that drives you apart. For Pocahontas and John Smith, there was a lot going against them from the start. Racially and culturally, they were worlds apart (not to mention the whole you’re-stealing-my-land thing). You might not be a chief’s daughter and he may not be a pioneering Englishman, but chances are you’ll find yourself in a relationship where for one reason or another, your individual lives conflict and you have no choice but to part ways. You might go to different schools or be in different class years. He might graduate early or you might decide to study abroad. Sometimes, you just have to accept the fact that you are from two different worlds that can’t possibly coincide and sadly, you need to split up.

Princess Lesson #7 –  Sometimes a Break-up isthe Best Ending
Take a note from Pocahontas. If you end on amiable terms with your boyfriend, don’t let the break-up ruin the great memories you had with him. Remember that time you rolled around in the grass or went canoeing? Learn from the bad moments and treasure the good moments. Take the memories and move on. And if it doesn’t work out, you always have friends to fall back on… even if they are raccoons and willow trees.
