One Night In Bangkok

I realize there are many things to do and see in Bangkok, but clubbing and going partying should be at the top of your list. I know it was a main concern for us when we went to Bangkok. So here are the places we visited and what we thought about them:

1. Nest
This roof bar lounge and restaurant was actually on top of the hotel we were staying at, Le Fenix. It is actually one of the most popular rooftop bar lounges in Bangkok. From the top you're able to see the city in a panoramic view. It offers exotic drinks and classic cocktails from all over the world. Great place to start the evening - classy and cozy, just before the real party begins! To See and Be Seen.

2. Q Bar
This hookah  bar and club was in front of our hotel (So if you stay at Le Fenix, you get in for free!) We expected it to be a really hot club with people of our age. Well...this is the ideal club if you're in your thirties and older. The hookah looked appealing but being very popular we were unable to smoke. The drinks were fantastic though and we furthered our buzz. Danced for a couple of songs and then proceeded to find a better aged club for ourselves.

3. NARZ Bangkok
The best time we had in our entire trip to Bangkok. NARZ consists of multiple clubs and bars each located on different floors. The first floor is Narcissus which is primarily trance and techno music. Very cool looking dance floor but if fast beats aren't your thing then move to the next floor! Zealot plays urban music - when we were there not many people seemed to be there to dance, it was more of a lounge and rest floor. Finally, you'll reach the top club called Ripp, which plays House music. Our favorite floor (and the most popular floor) danced until four in the morning!

4. Royal City Avenue (RCA)
This is Bangkok's largest entertainment and clubbing area. RCA is a long street lined with bars and clubs. As you enter it will mainly be bars and then gradually become large clubs. Let's talk about bars though. In Bangkok, we learned (from a Thai Soup Opera Star - yeah!) that whiskey is the favored drink. To make a the classic Thai party drink you take whiskey, sparkling water and coke and mix it into one drink. Or you could just take shots of it. Careful though, you'll be sitting and then standing up will make you twice as drunk!

5.  RCA Clubs
Like mentioned, RCA is the home for many major and large clubs. The particular club that we actually wanted to go to that night was being occupied however by Flo Rida (it was apparently a very epic concert) so we had to settle for the club next door - which I feel in love with. I don't know if it was a theme or something but everyone (women, men, trannys) all dressed up in Lady Gaga outfits. Oh, it made me incredible happy! The music (although not as good as Ripp) was up beat and fun. I would say a good girls night out place.

So, when you're in Bangkok be sure to look these places up!! Party Hard!
Love,
ALPHA
