You should know that all girls love shoes. It's really a fact. But sometimes you get completely lost when buying a new pair of heels - there just seems to be so many different kinds theses days! Well, this is your go-to guidebook. Alpha is here to sort your shoes.
I do love me some shoes!
The Heel
There are different kinds of shoes yes - but also different kinds of heels, which is vastly important to know.
1. The Stiletto Heel - The highest and thinnest heel. Sexy and flirty but hazardous to walk in.
2. The Kitten Heel - The smallest heel. Comfortable and not hard to walk in at all. Just a little something
3. The Cone Heel - Although it may be tall, since the hell is thicker it'll be easier to walk in.
4. The Prism Heel - It's interesting and very unique. Hard to find a true prism heel though.
5. The Spool Heel (Louis Heel) - The older heel (like really the original heel), basically a regular heel?
6. The Wedge - There's no real heel, it's all filled in so it should be pretty easy to walk in - Stability!
Heels and Pumps
Now that we've learned the different heels, there are different types of pumps and heels.
1. Sling Backs - Stay on because of the piece that clings around your ankle.
2. Peep Toe - Your toes are revealed in the front of the shoe. Best to take care of those toe nails!
3. Platforms - An extra padding/layer on the bottom of your foot - actually makes it more comfortable and easy to walk in.
Different Styles
Besides the different heels and types, shoe have different named styles too. However, designers are coming up with so many different names now, I think the easiest thing to do now is work with what you know and what you think looks good on your feet. Remember don't buy it if you don't think you can wear/walk in them and if you're only going to wear them once, maybe find something you can use more often.
For Example: The Mary Jane |
