Lesbian Pride

For all you Scott Pilgrim fans I'm referring not to love, but Lesbians. Women tend to be quite friendly with homosexual males, many having gay best friends. But I always feel like we disregard lesbians. They're women too so how come we don't flaunt our best lesbians friends? Are we like guys who are homophobic of gay guys, are we uncomfortable with lesbians?

I think that's a little foolish. Just like we have specific qualities of what we look for in guys, I'm sure homosexuals  to do, and trust me just because you're an attractive person doesn't mean everyone wants what your offering. Sorry. Homosexuals, lesbians and gays, are people just like anybody else, so why be weird or uncomfortable around them?

It happens. Katy Perry has a point though, kissing girls without being a lesbian (or bisexual) I think is cool and fascinating. Experimenting is an adventurous thing to do and I secretly think that we'll all have that point in our lives. I've done it and I'm not ashamed. And so have these celebrities: 

Christina Aguilera - Admits that she likes to kiss women and is a fierce advocate for gay rights. 

Drew Berrymore - Although she's always seen with men, she's actually come out as a bisexual (2003)

Ellen DeGeneres - Probably the most famous lesbian and people LOVE her (just take a look at her numerous Emmys!)

Portia de Rossi - H-I-L-A-R-I-O-U-S.  Brilliant, beautiful actress. Can you believe she's a lesbian? She got one of the funniest ones too! She's married to Ellen!

Nelly Furtado - Came out as a bisexual and said she'd like to have her own gay pride float. I really do want to see this happen. #excited.

Angelina Jolie - Yes I know she has Brad, but besides that she's actually open about the fact that she's bisexual. Totally cool if you ask me.

Lucy Liu - Not a lesbian, but she did have fun things to say about kissing girls hehe

Jane Lynch - Better known as Sue Sylvester. This lesbian actress has never felt that she needed to be in the closet. Good for her!

Rachel Maddow - Has her own show on MSNBC, she has excellent ratings and isn't afraid of being out there either. 

Heather Matarazzo - Probably known for her part as Lilly in the Princess Diaries, came out in 2004 and has announced that she is engaged. Congratulations! 

Cynthia Nixon - Oh Miranda! All that talk and show on Sex and the City and she's been an lesbian the whole time! I love it

Rosie O'Donnell - She was one of the first lesbian celebrities to come out; probably an inspiration to everyone one else to be themselves and come out. Way to go Rosie!

Wanda Sykes - Seriously one of the most funniest comedians you will ever see! (She's been called one of the "25 Funniest People in America")

Jodie Foster - Shes been making headlines since she was 14 and since then has won so many awards including 2 Oscars.

Tila Tequila - Okay, maybe a bad example but look how much fun her life is!
