Steve Jobs has resigned from Apple after 14 years as its CEO. Though not mentioned in his resignation statement, it is believe that Jobs's long term health issues were a strong reason that led to his resignation. Jobs's will remain as Apple's chairman, but his CEO position has been given to Tim Cook (whose previous position was Chief Operating Manager). According to the news, after informing the public of his resignation and replacement, Apple shares dropped 5%.
