The Little Black Dress

No matter what is in fashion, the little black dress will always be a classical favorite. In my opinion, the best thing about the LBD is that though they are all little and all black, they are still all so different.

These are the two classic LBD. They are simple; just plain black with no added design or cut. These basic ones can look great at a formal event, be it work, a gallery opening, or dinner with friends. The original LBD are chic without being too exposing. The convenient part about these two simple classic ones is that you can wear them anywhere and make them look as formal or informal as you want based on how you accessorize them. In that way you get the chance to be creative with how you dress yourself up, and it also allows you to wear the dress way more then just a few times.

I love the LBD on the right because of the uniqueness in its design. I like how there isn't too much lace, and that it is just limited to one area of the dress.  I like the lace on the chest area because it is revealing in a very subtle way. It hides any inappropriate cleavage, with out making the look too conservative. I also like the fact that there is a little collar at the neck of the dress. As a result, the neckline of the dress is very original. The LBD on the left is just as unique. On the ASOS website, they have a lot of LBD's with fabulous slits all over them. Since all the slits are done in different ways, each dress is still individual. Despite the desirableness the slit brings to this dress, I still find it elegant because it's one simply straight slit, and though it shows some things, it doesn't show everything.

I love these two one shoulder LBD's for two very different reasons. The one on the left is very distinct because of the huge slower on the shoulder. I think that makes the dress extremely adorable and perfect for a fun event, like a birthday. Despite the size of the flower on the shoulder, it does not look to extravagant because the opposite side is completely naked. I like the one on the right because of the long sleeve on one hand but not the other. The shielding of the arm is evened out with slits along the body. Because of the sleeve, this dress could also be worn in winter with tights.

I have a weakness for sheer dresses. Like the lace, I admire the way they are exposing with out too much exposure. The one on the left is very sexy because of its length and the fact that there are several sheer slits. This would be perfect for a night out clubbing. The one on the right is just as sexy, but has a special shape to it. The sheer area that curves inwards under the breasts shapes your body in a great way. I also like how from there, the sheer area only stops to cover the breasts, and the keeps going on for the rest of the dress. Even though with this dress a lot of your body is exposed by the sheer, it still looks very chic and sophisticated.

All LBD's are from ASOS
