Holiday Cookies

Every year, my family (well more like my mother, eldest sister and I) like to do something nice for our neighbors. So, we bake them some Holiday cookies! It's great because its not that expensive (well, at least I don't think it's that expensive), it's handmade (so you know, it's from our hearts), and well, they're delicious!
Our Holiday Cookies from last year.
What we precisely do is find about 3 to 4 different recipes and make a whole bunch of them. Then we get cute boxes or containers and we make our own cookie box. Seriously, this is really simple and such a great idea! ((Also, it's such a good time to spend with your family when you make and decorate them))

SO! Our first cookie recipe is of course the traditional Gingerbread Cookie! You can basically find this recipe anywhere but the most important thing to remember is to get cute and holiday cookie cutters. We have the classic "man" cutter, but we also had a Santa head and  a reindeer. You coud also use stars or anything you basically want actually!

The next cookie we made was the Ribbon/Swirl Cookie. So our cookies didn't turn out quite as perfect as the ones in the actually picture, but they were still delicious! So you should totally try them out. They are absolutely adorable!! Then, we actually made Holly Cookies - those green things in the photo! These were probably the easiest to make, seriously. It was like making a rice crispy treat but with corn flakes and green food dye. Probably the most difficult was arranging them. But, they are soooooo delicious!!

I think that was the extent to our holiday themed cookies, but we did fill it with other basic cookies too - snickerdoodles I believe. Honestly, they dont even have to be holiday cookies, you could just make regular cookies and give them to your neighbors or even your friends. It's a simple way to show that you care (also it saves you money hehe).

Holiday cookie I want to make this year?

So obviously I like peppermint...and red...hehe
Happy Holidays!
Love,
ALPHA
