IKEA

ALPHA is a pretty big fan of IKEA. Not only because of this scene in (500) Days of Summer, but because it's a fun place to go in general. Seriously, if you're bored and have nothing to do...grab a couple of friends and walk around - even pretend a little bit. Bring a camera along too!

Brief (SUPER brief) History of IKEA
Founded in Sweden in 1943 by a man named Ingvar Kamprad when he was 17!! Why was it created? For young couples/families who were starting their own homes, the only places to buy furnisher was at expensive stores. So! IKEA was (and still is) a place for young families with budgets to get their beginner furnisher. Brilliant!! And common look how successful IKEA is!

The idea and stores are just so brilliant. It really is like going to a amusement park - hehe. And I mean who can pass on Swedish meatballs?

Love,
ALPHA
