Chocolate Chip Lava Cookies

 These are just too epic for life.

Ingredients:

  1. 1/2 a cup of butter
  2. 1/2 a cup of light brown sugar
  3. 1/2 a cup of granulated sugar
  4. 1 large egg
  5. 1/2 a tablespoon of vanilla extract
  6. 1 3/4 cups of all purpose flour
  7. 1/2 a teaspoon of baking soda
  8. 1/2 a teaspoon of salt
  9. 1 bag of milk chocolate chips
Steps:
  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Spray a muffin tin with cooking spray. 
  2. Place 1/2 a cup of chocolate chips in a ziploc bag and seal it shut. Lay the ziploc bag in the microwave and leave it for 30 seconds. Flip the bag over and microwave for another 10-15 seconds. Set it aside to cool.
  3. Cream the butter and sugars with an electric mixer until they are light and fluffy. Add egg and vanilla and beat until they are well mixed
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, and baking soda. Add the wet ingredients and beat on low speed until well mixed. Add the chocolate chips and continue to stir.
  5. Using half the cookie dough, scoop 1.5-2 tablespoons of dough and place it at the bottom of the muffin tin. Repeat until all the slots in the muffin tin are full. 
  6. Cut a small tip in the corner of the ziploc bag and gently squeeze chocolate over all the cookies. . 
  7. Scoop the remaining tough and distribute it as a top layer over all the slots in the muffin tin.
  8. Bake at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes. Once they come out of the oven, run a knife around the edges to make it easy for removing later.
