The Great Gatsby Movie Trailer

Another movie to be excited for. The Great Gatsby starring Leo DiCaprio, Tobey McGuire, Isla Fisher, Carey Mulligan and many more. Just by looking at the trailer I can sense that it is going to be so spectacular!! Like for real. With director Baz Luhrmann (Moulin Rouge, Romeo + Juliet), it's just going to be so colorful, bright, and I'm way too excited for this. Aren't you? For those who have read the books,  this is very important - the movie needs to capture all the themes and images (the Green Light!!) and just everything. Hopefully, we'll fall in love with this movie like we have fallen in love with the book!!

Friendship: Alpha Edition

Well Hello people who actually read this, lolz. I realize that it's been a while since I've written one of this "Friendship" posts. So, I will try to give an accurate summary about what's been going on with Alpha these last few months. SO, for the majority of Alpha our freshman year of college is OVER. The year went by in a flash don't you think? Like this is ridiculous :S I can't believe we're one fourth of our college years done...time flies! What does this summer look like to Alpha? Summer school, traveling, visiting family and friends, drinking, adventures, working, learning...a long summer for some (like me - four months of school off!!) and jeeze like the school the summer might be done in a flash!

I'm glad to say that Alpha will be reuniting again this summer!! I can't wait to see my girls :) Some of us haven't seen each other in like a year - WEIRD RIGHT? But even though we haven't seen each other in a while doesn't mean we lost contact. Want to stay in touch with your close friends? It may seem lame but go ahead and make your own Facebook group! For real, it's one of the smartest things we've done - it's really great because then you can post things you may only wanna show them ((funny pictures, memories,  weird stories, basically anything)). I have like 2 or 3 groups with close friends - it's swell. Ok, if Facebook is not the way to go - SKYPE IT UP. You don't need to video chat - just chatting is fine. A new Alpha way of communicating is the app "Whatsapp." I believe it's for iphones, androids or anything that has an APP function anyway. Well, it's like a dollar or two and it lets you text anybody --> in our case internationally as long as there is wifi or internet access. Alpha has it's own thread and it's great to wake up to Alpha conversations!

Two/three weeks til the majority of Alpha will unite again in Japan!! Ahh let the summer adventures soon begin!! Love and miss you all so much <3

Les Miserables Movie Update

THE FIRST GLIMPSE.

Aren't you excited? 

Well, here's my breakdown of how I feel. Firstly, when I first heard Anne Hathaway (playing Fantine) sing, I was like "meh". I guess it just wasn't something I was used to, I've always had a certain way of hearing this song - I've heard it done so many times, I myself have sung it too! Then, it continues. The images and the combined song...my heart pounded. It's finally together. The story, the music, everything was coming alive to the screen - it was beautiful. And then when the strong part of the song came by - I was touched, Ms. Hathaway you did well ((still wanna hear the whole thing though!!)). The cast looks great, the costumes, the scenery - looking so so so great. I just can't wait!!! SO EXCITED.
