On my first Friday in college, guess what I did? Yes, I went to a gay club and it was fabulous. Okay, the walk there was kind of strenuous but in the end it was soooooo worth it.
Okay, well the gay club we went to was called "Machine" and on Fridays it's all ages (well more like +18). It's not that bad of a price too - like $10 to $15. Well, one thing you can count on in gay clubs is great music, great dancing, and great looking guys! Seriously these are men just wanting to dance with everyone and everything - for real. And as a lady, you can go crazy and really go freakkkky.
John Galliano, the former Dior designer, has been found guilty for making racist and anti-semtic comments in a cafe in Paris in February. His suspended sentence is a fine of 6000 euros ($8,200). The maximum fine for making a racist comment to someone in France is in fact 22,500 euros ($30,800). I wonder how this might affect his career.
Apparently metallics are always big during the fall season, but this fall it's all about gold. It's everywhere in the New York Fashion Week from fabrics to nail polish - and of course, hair! So, go look for gold combs, headbands, clips and even some gold gel ((like the models in the Jason Wu Show!))
A gold accessory adds an unexpected touch of glamour to your hair! It also adds a touch of class to your casual look - make things professional ya know?
2. Pony Tails
From College Fashion
For college girls, go for the pony tail! It's casual yet chic (also a big feature in this year's New York Fashion Week). Of course models have an over-the-top style, but you can adapt it to make it more casual and cute. Aim for a low, casual and unkempt pony tail.
3. Big Up-Dos
From College Fashion
Voluminous chignons, french twists, and bouffants were everywhere in New York Fashion Week. Like the pony tails go for the messy, slightly unkempt style. Channel the Amy Winehouse beehive, the Adele bump and the glamourous ladies of Mad Men. Of course it's not practical for everyday, but it would be cute for a date :)
I can't tell you how excited I am for this new movie and for the nail polish line that goes with it! Well, I'm sure you all know how much I love my nails - and if you don't know, just know that I really love love loooove nail polish.
From the top (left to right): Animal-istic, Meep Meep Meep, Wocka Wocka!, Pepe's Purple Passion, Desginer de better!, Warm & Fozzie.
From the bottom (left to right): Rainbow Connection, Excuse Moi!, Gone Gonzo!, Fresh Frog of Bel Air, Gettin' Miss Piggy With It!, Divine Swine
I am so excited for the bottom row colors the most!! (Especially the Rainbow Connection color - it reminds me of Mad as a Hatter from the Alice and Wonderland Collection). Oh! I can't wait to buy it - and I will buy a lot of it!! ((I also can't wait to see the movie - it's like my childhood - too excited))
Here's the Trailer for those who haven't seen it!
Totally going to be the first to see it in November! (With the nail polish on too!!)
