Happy Birthday Emperor of Japan

Today is the Emperor's 78th Birthday! 

So obviously it is a holiday in Japan. 

The Emperor's real name is Akihito yet he is only referred to as "His Imperial Majesty the Emperor" or "His Imperial Majesty." He is the 125th Emperor of Japan and succeeded to the throne in 1989. 

Like the Queen of England, the Emperor is not involved in Japanese politics and is seen as a figure of Japan. He is beloved by the Japanese people and continues his duties for Japan and its citizens.
